Weekend Touring Rides The weekend rides vary in length from approximately 15 to 60 miles and the pace can be anywhere from 10 to 20+ miles per hour, depending on the group you go out with. We usually have between 10 - 25+ riders on the weekend rides, so you should be able to find someone who rides at your speed. These rides are basically an out-and-back format, where everyone leaves and returns to the same point. There are at least two and sometimes more distance options that allow you to find a distance you are comfortable doing. Viturally all of the rides have some place to stop along the way to refill water bottles, grab a snack, or whatever. Bring a couple of bucks with you.
The Sociables Riding Group 3RVS also has a riding group called The Sociables that offers group rides at a slightly slower pace. Led by Cheryl Mathews, these rides average around 12-15 mph, and normally will ride up to 25 or 35 miles on the weekend. They ride as a group, staying together, enjoying their easier pace and getting to know each other. A couple of times each month they schedule Breakfast rides. Check out The Sociables information page and schedule for more details.
