Mountain Biking for Beginners

What:  If you would like to know more about mountain biking, such as how do you go up or down that hill, or over a log in the middle of the trail, this is the ride for you. Or if you just want to find your way around the maze of trails at Franke Park, come on out and we'll show you around.

Tuesday Evening
Carroll High School

Start Date:  Now showing!

Time:  6:00 p.m.

Location: Carroll High School, 3701 Carroll Rd., Fort Wayne

Route:  From Carroll High School to Churubusco, then up to County Line Road and back to Carroll.  That course is about 25 miles, but some go on through Huntertown for about 30 miles. We ride a double pace line if enough riders show up.  We try to leave at 6:00 and finish around 7:30.

Pace:  Average speed between 20 - 21mph

Wednesday Evenings
Rivergreenway Bike Rides

June - July - August 

Start Time: 6:30pm

Start Location - Headwaters West
Parking off Harrison by the bridge (south of Pepsi)

This ride will be a little informative as well. If you have bike related questions, ride leader Kathy Boling will be happy to answer them. And she will tell you about some of the trail development as you ride past them. Bike of choice for the ride are mountain bike, hybrids, and cruisers.

We will ride at about 10 miles an hour (or so). The ride will be about 10 to 15 miles total.Children are welcome, but only if they are attached to the parents bike. PLEASE. It is for their safety as well as others.
