MEETING MINUTES
July 5, 2018
1. Call to Order
Meeting called to order 7:37 PM by Patrick. Officers present included Patrick Stelte, Johnny Grabowski, Hugh Smith, Steve Pequignot, Randy Rozewicz and Pamela Fennell. Not present Dave McComb, Amy Copeland, Scott Tomsits and Mike Heyes. Introductions and welcome extended to all in attendance including Phil Snider, Jack Campbell, Mona Will, and Kent Ellis.
2. Passage of Minutes
Passage of March meeting minutes.
3. Officer Reports
Johnny Grabowski, Secretary
June minutes passed earlier in the meeting.
Patrick Stelte, President
- June 23rd Extravaganza volunteer Shane Powell said that the event went very well and he would recommend to any club member in the future that it is a good event to volunteer.
Hugh Smith, Treasurer
Revenues inlcude membership dues and clothing. Expenditures include Festival Tour insurance coverage and storage unit rental.
Steve Pequignot, Touring
- July 4 “ice cream ride” had highest ridership of the year so far with 45 cyclists.
- August Weekend Tours will begin at 9am.
- “Twilight” trails ice cream ride proposed, to be further developed and discussed at future meeting. Proposed 10-12 mile ride at dusk with ice cream stop at half-way point.
- September Touring Challenge to be held again this year
- Labor Day weekend Triple Century rides to be held again this year
Dave McComb, Racing (not present)
Randy Rozewicz, Off-Road
- Trail maintenance in full swing, but improvements on hold for now
- Monday rides continue
- July 22 Destination Ride - Monon Trail (Indianapolis)
Publicity, Pamela Fennell
- Patrick to have Pamela contact Aubree Reichel (J-G) for Festival Tour coverage (post meeting update: Aubree posted an article about the particulars of the Tour a week before the event.)
- Possible story about Kimberlee Bee’s randonneuring / Paris-Brest-Paris goals
Amy Copeland, Membership (not present)
Total Memberships 277, comprised of 134 Family and 143 Individual memberships

- Festival Tour Update: Route marked, registration set with Jerseys to sell, post-ride treats courtesy of Johnny G. freezer - set, SAG by Otto Boschet and Patrick - set, SAG drivers set,
- 8th Annual Jersey Ride Update: Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 22nd @ 10am at Roanoke Park. Same format with ride followed by cookout for club members.
