Meeting called to order 7:30 by Patrick. Welcome extended to guest, members, and officers. Introduction of officers and club members Dan Hamblin, Russ Stephens, John Grabowski, Scott Tomsits..
-Minutes presented for meeting of August 6th 2015. Motion to accept minutes Steve, second by Mona. Vote carried minutes accepted.

-Welcome extended to Officer Treven Brown of Fort Wayne Police department bicycle patrol.
Officer Brown joined the police force in 2005. He has been working diligently in reestablishing the bicycle patrol. Officer Brown is the instructor for the bicycle patrol with 40 officers enrolled.
The 4 day class includes training on the greenway as well as how to dismount a bicycle at full speed when the need arises. The bicycle patrol operates with donations only. The 19 bicycles used by many officers in training and on patrol are older models and require a great amount of maintenance. Officer Brown’s request is to establish a partnership with a 3RVS using the clubs knowledge of bicycling to enhance the patrol. Officer Brown also requested the clubs help in the purchase of repair parts. Patrick made a motion to donate $500.00 for the purchase of parts. Further discussion followed, Officer Brown answered many questions. Patrick reintroduced the motion, Jane seconded vote carried with members present.

-Treasurer report presented by Hugh. Deposits include membership dues, and clothing reimbursement. Debits include continued festival expenses, pavilion rental for jersey ride and insurance premium 2015/2016. Hugh pointed out a great reduction in the club insurance policy.  Hugh presented a detail account of the festival tour. Some expenses are still outstanding, final net income/loss to follow. Patrick reported food coordinator Mike Sienk purchased SAG supplies according to weather forecast and the cost was greatly reduced. Patrick extended the clubs appreciation to Mike and XXX for their continued help with the festival.

-Touring report presented by Steve. September touring start time will be 10:00 and October will be 11:00. Labor day Club Century will follow the Festival route laid out by Phil. Steve suggested many options for the tour routes. September Strava Challenge started with 21 riders and had 31 riders entered at meeting time. Steve will up-date totals daily or as time permits.  Awards will be given on distance achieved and a podium will be awarded to the overall winners at the end of year party in December.

-Off Road report presented by Phil. Franke trails are nearly all dry after the summer rains and flooding. Monday trail rides have resumed at Franke. September 12th will be trail work day with riding after. Saturday fat tire rides continue. A tour to the Scout Camp will be later in the month.

-Newsletter-Sportswear report presented by Kathy. Kathy asks that any newsletter submission for October be turned in as soon as possible. Due to prior commitment the newsletter will need completed early for October. An order for clothing is in process and may arrive for the Jersey ride but not guaranteed. Some items have increased in cost. Increase was approved by those purchasing items.
-Membership report presented by Jane. With 134 family and 177 individual membership total is 311. New members total 79 for 2015. Jane reminded members any new or renewal starting in September will extend through 2016.

-Racing report by Kathy. Gary Painter finished 5th in world championship. Moving on to national racing. Kathy had an offer from a new vendor that specializes in tracking time in races through placing electronic chips on riders. Will consider this option for the next ride season.
The $25.00 check approved for Antwerp police in August was returned to Hugh. Kathy requested a $100.00 good faith donation for the great help supplied by the Antwerp officers (2) with the 3RVS Time Trials the last two months.  The donation will be made the Antwerp Police Department as they assigned the officers.  Because the motion was approved 8/15 the vote was for an amended amount.  Amendment approved by members.

-Publicity report presented by Mona. Mona has developed a flier to post in coffee shops and other shops to inform public of club activities. Mona presented information for a “Tailwind” tour. Shuttles and trailers would take riders into the wind 100 miles and group would ride back. Good research was completed for the logistics. Too many details were still in need of completing to meet the September 19th target date. Decision by the members was to table the tour to the 2016 season when time permits careful planning. Patrick thanked Mona for the great research.

Additional Items of Interest.
*Club Century Tour is set for Labor Day. No volunteers were found for the event SAG support.
Patrick asked a friend and co-worker, Otto Boschet, to man the SAG for a fee of $100 and members voted approval.  Club member Deb Watts and Christy Lines (wife of member Ed Lines) will help.

*Planning is underway for the Jersey Ride, October 3rd @ 10am at Roanoke Park and help is needed for this event.

It is with great sorrow that we remember one of 3RVS founding members that recently passed away. Thomas Broxon passed away August 22, 2015 at 90 years. Tom enjoyed helping at SAG stops using his House Bus to help riders. He was one of the founders of the Three Rivers Festival Tour. Tom’s dedication to bicycling will be greatly missed.

-Meeting adjourned.
