-Touring report by Steve. Century ride for September will be the 17th at 9:00 am.  Tuesday night rides have moved to 5:30 and will end this season September 27th.  The Century from Community Memorial Hospital in Hicksville had a total of 75 riders with a great showing of 3RVS members.  Steve said the Sunday century ride that followed had 16 riders with 10 riders doing the full 200 miles in 2 days.  He plans a Roanoke to Wabash century for Labor Day weekend.  The National Bike challenge with 99 3RVS riders placed 1st in the extra-large division for August.  September marks Strava Challenge month.  Beginning with 53 riders the challenge will continue to the end of September.  Medals will be given at the end of year party for 500K, 750K, 1000K and 1000Mi achievements.  Also, podium plaques will be awarded for the first three finishers in the men’s and women’s categories.  He reminds those interested to check the website.

-Webmaster report by Mike.  Moved the jersey ride information to top of home page.  Performed general routine freshening.

-Newsletter report by Mike. Just 2 or 3 issues remain for this season.

-Off road by Phil.  Phil reports work day at Franke September 10th.  Rider’s choice on the 24th.  Urban exploring is going well.  Patrick asked Phil if he thought Nitro was in need of help with trail maintenance.  He thought the trails were coming along well.
-Membership report by Jane.  She has welcomed 71 new members for the year.  New persons signing up after September 1st will remain members for the 2017 season also.  The count ending August: 144 family, 164 individuals for a total of 308 members.

-Publicity report by Mona.  Expecting a newspaper article to be printed soon by Aubree Reichel.  Brochure is ready for printing.  Patrick to contact Wendy for cost.

-Racing report by Joe.  Tuesday night rides have ended.  Cyclecross continues at Fort Wayne Outfitters each Wednesday. Three Rivers Velo Sport member Gary Painter won the World Time Trial Championship, Masters Division, in Australia in late August.  Night ride on August 20th had good turnout in spite of the rain earlier in the day.  Final Night Ride is scheduled for September 24th 9:00 pm from Swinney Park West.  Details will be announced.  The final 3RVS time trial is Wednesday, September 21st at 6pm at the usual location on Highway 424 at Highway 101.

Additional items of interest. Club Constitution amendment proposal.  Discussion from last month continued about Steve’s proposed amendment to the club constitution concerning replacing a club officer mid-term.  Patrick asked Karen Walker for her concerns with the proposal because she did not have a chance to discuss it at last meeting due to time.  Her concern is the purposed document is wordy and lacks proper legalese.  Discussion followed with Steve’s explanation for the additional wording in an attempt to cover all situations.  Patrick asked Karen, who has back ground in this type document, to assist writing the proper form.  He offered Karen his historical help with the constitution’s narrative in editing the proposal.  The amendment discussion will continue at the October meeting.

Jersey ride will be September 24th from Roanoke Park.  Jane and Mike will assist with the count of members wishing to attend.

President’s ride is scheduled for October 16th. Details to follow.

Good to the order Jennifer shared with members of a bicycle trailer for sale.  The trailer will hold 24 bikes.  Will follow up at a later meeting.
