-Reviewed minutes for meeting of September 1st 2016.  Patrick called for corrections or addition. Phil made a motion to accept as presented with Steve second vote carried.

-Patrick presented the amendment to the constitution purposed by Steve Pequignot.  The amendment would insert under the 3.0 Officers section 3.1 the following; “A member in good standing as described in Article 1.2 Voting Privileges may nominate no more than one member per office for each of the offices described below in this article”.  The amendment received initial approval at the August club meeting and was posted for comment in the newsletter and website.  Patrick opened the floor for discussion. Steve explained his position in purposing the amendment.  His idea was a member should choose a nominee who they felt was most qualified for the office in question.  Jim Riley suggested that one member should be able to nominate multiple qualifying members for each office.  His idea was that multiple members may be equally qualified for the open office and a member should be able to nominate all of the qualifiers.  Other members voiced their views and shared ideas.  Patrick, following proper protocol, called for a vote to approve or remove the amendment.  Vote for approval carried 14-1.
