MEETING MINUTES
October 5, 2017

1. Call to Order
Meeting called to order 7:30PM by Patrick. Introductions and welcome extended to all in attendance including Jack Campbell, Phil Snyder, Jennifer Altherr and Dave McComb

2. Officer Reports:

Secretary - John Grabowski: no report, last month’s meeting minutes passed

President’s Report - Patrick Stelte
- Jersey Ride recap:  Sunny, warm day with 57 riders and a handful of other club members.  Also, a number of clothing sales by Steve Pequignot

Treasurer - Hugh Smith:
- Revenues include numerous clothing sales and memberships  Expenditures include website hosting domain registration; Roanoke pavilion rental for Jersey Ride; Century Tour and SAG supplies
- Festival Tour final report:  profit of $1,637.45 (165 riders)
- Excellent sell-through on closeout 3RVS apparel, with many of those transactions facilitated by the Square reader

Touring - Steve Pequignot:
- October 29 will be last weekend regular tour of the season
- Steve Souers will be leading Show ’n Go rides from November through March
- See website touring tab for start locations
- Steve is looking for a co-ride leader for the northeast part of town
- Presidents’ Tour is Saturday, October 28th
  National Bike Challenge wrap-up
⁃ 3RVS finished 4th overall (no sub-categories this year) 134 club members participated
⁃ 5 of top 10 women in IN were 3RVS members; Kathy Boling #1
⁃ 4 of top 10 men in IN were 3RVS members; Steve Pequignot #1 for 3rd year in a row
- Steve Pequignot finish 8th overall nationally
  September Touring Challenge wrap-up
⁃ Achievement levels reached
⁃ 1600 km - 12 members
⁃ 1,000 km - 15 members
⁃ 750 km - 9 members
⁃ 500 km - 20 members
⁃ Podium - Men

⁃ Podium - Women

⁃ Top Overall - Steve Pequignot
- Weeknight Rides are ending (Spokesman ride; Kreager ride; Saturn ride; Girls Ride Out)
- City Tour is year round on the First Friday of the month @ 6:30pm - Lawton Park trail-head
- 2017 overall Weekend Tour attendance is 1,556 riders so far (vs. 1,368 riders in 2015)

Publicity - Mona Will:
- Pursue media coverage of 3RVS National Bike Challenge results
- Pursue media coverage of club Cyclocross practice and team
- Pursue media coverage of ODRAM event
- Call for volunteers of the Chilly Challenge (New Year’s Day)

Off Road - Randy Rozewicz:
- NITRO Challenge was a success (NITRO website has pictures)
- Monday night rides continue throughout the year @ 6:30pm, Franke Park
- Upcoming October Destination Ride starting at Johnny Appleseed Park and visiting Keith Busse’s house to view car collection
- Upcoming Saturday Fat Tire rides

Newsletter - Scott Tomsits:
- October Newsletter successfully sent
- Request for more articles for newsletter

Membership - Amy Copeland
- 350 total:  190 individual and 160 family (40 more members compared to last year)

Racing - Dave McComb (Joe Bartels not present):
- CX Racing season has begun (look for postings on 3RVS Racing on Facebook)

Webmaster - Mike Heyes (not present)
- Filed report:  Upgrade to site software in October; information continually updated

3. Additional Items of Interest
 50th Anniversary Jersey update
⁃ Fit Kit arrived 10/6
- October 24th order deadline
⁃ Mona Will will handle orders
⁃ 2 week ordering window, promoted via Facebook and direct email to members
⁃ Initial order to be placed for arrival in time for product delivery at End of Year Party
- Team store to be set up later and announced after party

End of Year Party Update
- Patrick meeting with Meghan Short at Sweetwater in mid-Oct to finalize arrangements
