Summit City Cycling Challenge (formerly Three Rivers Festival Tour)

Friday July 22 - Sunday July 24

Three Days and Three Ways to Ride

Sweetwater Performance Pavillion

5501 US Highway 30 West

Fort Wayne, Indiana

The Festival Tour is changing its name and date, but 3RVS is still providing the same great riding experience, wonderful SAG food and mechanical support that you have come to expect.

This year we will once again be offering a choice of  one, two, or all three rides. Your challenge will be choosing your ride(s) and the distance.  Can you do all three?

Friday, the ride will begin in a central location in downtown Fort Wayne. Our experienced group ride leader will take you on an 10-mile ride around and through the vibrant downtown and nearby neighborhoods. The ride will be on the city's trails and low traffic city streets. This evening event is complimentary for any registered road or gravel rider.  If you prefer to do only the trail ride, there is a nominal fee.  Bring some extra cash for a post ride beverage and/or meal in one of the many restaurants and watering holes downtown and surrounding neighborhoods.

Saturday is the cornerstone ride of the weekend events.  The ride starts at Sweetwater Sound with route options of 20, 40, 62 (metric century) and 100 (full century) mile rides.  Our routes take you through gently rolling countryside along the backroads of Allen and Whitley counties with Indiana’s scenic vistas.  The Morsches Park air-conditioned pavilion in Columbia City is the central SAG for longer distances with looping routes that allow riders to add or subtract from their initial challenge distance.

The ultimate challenge for Saturday is the "Looney Century."  This route takes you around sections of tranquil Loon Lake.  You will be guided by Daffy Duck to the SAG and greeted by Bugs Bunny.  At the other end of the spectrum, the 20-mile route will SAG in Arcola with drinks and food.  All routes have vehicle support.  All riders end at Sweetwater Sound with ice cream, music and achievement recognition under a shady canopy.

The last challenge is the "Dustbuster" gravel ride on Sunday . We have a new starting point in 2022 (St. Joe Conservation Club) which gets you to the gravel sections sooner.  Both the 20- and 40-mile routes are a mix of just enough pavement to catch your breath, before you hit the gravel once again.  The terrain is a mix of flat roads and rolling hills through DeKalb and Allen County.   SAG support is provided on the gravel routes.

A helmet is required for all rides.
