Latest News / S L O W E R group will ride again before the year wraps up!!!

Weather is looking very promising for Saturday so the S L O W E R group is taking another opportunity to get in a few more miles before year end.

Join us Saturday Dec 28th-we leave promptly at noon from Jefferson Middle School. (northeast side of town) Length of trip yet to be determined but it will be at least 13 miles so Deb can meet her yearly goal of 3700 miles.

With the forecasted warm temps I'm sure it will boost enthusiasm so don't be surprised if the mileage is somewhere around 20 miles or more. Get your bike off the trainer and back on the bike rack. We've got road miles to conquer!  :D

Latest News / S.L.O.W.E.R. group will ride again on Sunday Nov 24th at 1230P

Good thing we didn't ride yesterday. That was a whopper of a storm and had we ridden we would not have been in safe conditions when those winds and rain started blowing in.

Being the hardy and ever ready  to ride group that we are, no storm will keep us off our bikes for long. Next ride is scheduled for Sunday, Nov 24th at 1230P. We will leave from Jefferson Middle School. Length of trip to be determined by the group while gathering in the parking lot. Expect 25 plus miles and a decent pace of about 10-15 mph, depending on weather and route and pent up energy from not riding yesterday. We have already hit 22 mph with a tailwind while going downhill so any speed is possible! ;)

The weather forecast for this afternoon is making this gal too uncomfortable to suggest we go out for the group ride today.
Mark your calendar for next week, JMS departure at 1230P and hopefully Mother Nature will bless us with less adverse weather.

Latest News / S.L.O.W.E.R group rides again!

Just a heads up that the SLOWER group is going to head out from Jefferson Middle School (not Lincoln MS on Cook Rd!) on Sunday at 1230P. This will hopefully give the church goers a chance to go to church and then hustle over to join us on a 30 mile rt ride to Huntertown and back.

The little ice cream shop/soup and salad place across from the Marathon station promised to have hot chocolate available for purchase on Sunday. Let's sell them out on our first visit!!!

The only thing that will keep me away is if it's raining. I'm made of sugar so I can't be out in weather like that. I just melt away and then there would be nothing left of me for the following weeks ride.   :'(

I hope to see a few more that weren't able to ride last week.
