Saturday 3/16 Homestead HS

Sunday 3/17 Flaugh Rd. (see website - FFCU 11:45am, Flaugh 12:00, Arcola 12:15pm)

Interesting that the start/finish for Sunday is so close to Deer Park Tavern on St. Patrick's Day. Makes you wonder what the planner of these rides was thinking when he put together the schedule.

Saturday 3/9 Flaugh Rd. (see website - FFCU 11:45am, Flaugh 12:00, Arcola 12:15pm)

Saturday is looking good. I have had my scouts out in the country and the asphalt is warm and toasty. Think Spring Break in Fort Wayne  8) slather on your sunscreen and join us for a bike ride. In the tradition of Spring Break be sure to grab a handful of dollar bills because rumor has it my bike will finish the ride at Deer Park Tavern for a beer and to check out the hotties in the bar.

Sunday 3/10 Homestead HS

Sunday could be wet. Watch the radar and Facebook as the ride may be moved up a couple of hours to avoid the rain. Don't forget to spring forward your clock for DST.

... Saturday looks great (for January). Be sure to bring a friend (or two) and enjoy this early taste of Spring.

Please watch the Forum (or Facebook), particularly closely Sunday morning as based on the forecast it may be necessary to move the Sunday morning ride up a bit earlier to dodge the precipitation.

Touring / Magical Mystery Tour - Part Deux - June 23rd
« on: June 12, 2012, 02:10:26 PM »
Well I had such a great ride in May so it is time for yet another Magical Mystery Tour (MMT).

Saturday, June 23rd @ 9:00am
Carroll HS

Our tour desitination will be the Country Heritage Winery & Vineyard.
http://www.countryheritagewinery.com/

This Laotto Winery opens at 11:00am on Saturday and offers wine tasting and also sells wine by the glass (bring cash and your ID). The plan is to leave Carroll HS and ride for a couple of hours, arriving at the winery when they open for some relaxation and recovery. Then a mellow ten mile ride back to Carroll HS. If you have a non-riding spouse or partner they could join us at the winery and meet the people you hang out with every weekend.

Plan on a 40-50 mile ride, however if some of the Bee's group choose to join us a shorter route could be arranged for a second riding group.

You can ask participants from MMT#1 or read about what to expect here:

Touring / Show N Go
« on: October 31, 2011, 01:07:40 PM »
The regular touring rides have ended and the Show N Go schedules begins this weekend. The schedule for November and December can be found by following the link on the main page of the website at:

http://3rvs.com/joomla15/touring/show-n-go.html

I cannot overemphasize the fact that these rides leave on time at noon. Be sure you have all your cold weather gear packed and allow extra time to bundle up in the parking lot. You don't want to watch the group ride away as you search for that elusive left shoe cover you have not used for the last seven months.

Additional information with regards to the Show N Go rides is in the article posted here:

http://3rvs.com/joomla15/Latest-News/show-n-go-information.html

Note that I will not be there to lead the rides on the first weekend but keeping with the theme of the Show N Go rides... whoever shows up determines the make up of that days ride.

Too late for me to train for Hilly. Anyone wanting to do a ride longer than 10 miles see me Saturday at Roanoke and we will discuss an optional route and distance for Sunday.
