The distance option will be decided by the riders who show up for the ride or by Dan Dorau.

Touring / More pace options at this year's Welcome Rides
« on: April 02, 2012, 12:15:30 AM »
This season during our monthly Welcome Rides, 3RVS club member Dan Dorau will be leading a 10 to 12 mph pace group. Dan is of the opinion there are many club members interested in a welcome ride pace of 10 to 12 mph. If you are one of them, please join us and discover the thrill of riding in a pace line. Just ask for Dan's group. This is a no-drop group.

We will still offer our regular welcome ride pace of 15/16 mph. This is also a no-drop group.  The Bees group will be at three of the Welcome Rides this season. The Bees pace is 14/15 mph, this is a no-drop group as well. The no-drop provision assumes riders can maintain the minimum pace with each respective group.

Additionally, there is usually an 18+ group. If you cannot hang on to this group you will likely get dropped, however, there will be two or three groups behind you.

Come out and join us for a good time, there should be a good pace for everyone.

Touring / 3RVS Jersey Bins are in stock
« on: September 09, 2011, 11:35:23 PM »
We have received our new jersey bins. Until Kathy is able to join us on weekend tours, I will have a supply of Jersey Bins available for purchase before and after our weekend tours. The cost to club members is $5. A Jersey Bin is a small pocket size heavy plastic pouch to keep such things as your ID, cell phone, a few dollars in. Jersey Bins are water-proof, clear plastic bearing the club logo, just big enough to store the items mentioned above, yet small enough to fit in your rear jersey pocket. If you have a touch phone, you can use the touch feature without removing the phone from the Jersey Bin.

I will try to remember to announce that I have them for sale prior to each ride. If I forget and you are interested in purchasing one, just remind me.

I look forward to seeing you on the road.
