Wednesday night ride - change of location

Starting July 11th, the Wednesday night ride will move from Arcola Elementary School to Saturn Church.  800S in Whitley Co. has been chip n' sealed and should be ready for cycling by July 11th.  Saturn Church is the traditional site of the Wednesday night rides and is located about a mile inside Whitley Co. on road 800S.

If anyone rides 800S in the next two weeks, please post an update on the conditions.  I think the stone will be safe to ride by July 11th.

A week ago we returned on 800S from South Whitley. The road was just fine. Be cautious around intersections but that rule applies to all Indiana intersections.

The first Wednesday night ride from Saturn Church (replacing the Arcola ride) was lightly attended.  800S is in good condition and smoother than it has been for years.  All are welcome to attend the weekly ride from Saturn.  The pace is 18+ on the way out and 20+ on the return.

Tomorrow is going to be hot with a chance of rain.  The wind is forecast to be from the SW.  Looks like a ride to Roanoke.  With the ride starting from Saturn Church and not Arcola, the Roanoke ride is now 12 miles shorter.  I enjoyed the longer Arcola ride, but shorter on a hot day is okay.
