Report from Steve concerning the newer sections of the route were favorable. Steve thanked Phil for his effort in laying out a great route. Jane reported a few issues during sign-in but all was resolved. Mike once again provided good refreshments for the SAG. Riders were 42 pre-register and 38 registered day of ride. Just a few tee-shirts were purchased. Will offer tee shirts for sell at upcoming events.

-Touring report by Steve. September touring time moves ahead to 10:00 am. Beginning August 8th the “E” group will not have a leader. Steve invited anyone interested in helping with this pace group to let him know. 3RVS National Bike Challenge has 99 qualified riders in the event. At present the club team ranks 6th in the nation and 1st in our class. Points are added for each mile ridden and additional points for each day that is ridden. Patrick expressed the clubs gratitude to everyone’s involvement and dedication in the event.

Steve made a motion to once again have a Strava Challenge in September. Those who rode last year already have their information on the website. All type riders are welcome:  off-road, trail, touring, and racing. The event is open to all 3RVS members who are registered and in good standing. Steve will send an e-mail to club members with Challenge details.  Awards would be presented for different levels of mileage achievement at the Year End Party in December. A vote to purchase medals and plaques for the Strava Challenge passed.

-Off-Road as reported by Phil. MTB group had just 1 Monday night ride due to the weather. Weekend rides have been road and urban exploring. Some of the trails at Franke are still closed due to the June 27th storm that knocked down trees. Phil will update when NITRO group has cleared the trails.

-Newsletter – 3RVS sportswear report by Kathy. Newsletter entries must be submitted before the 18th of each month to be considered and approved for next issue. Kathy reported that all the men’s large and x-large jerseys and bib shorts have sold. Request continue for this size of items. Discussion with member’s present included purchase of resupply of 15 jerseys and 15 shorts.  Kathy will request quotes on full zipper jerseys (extra cost will be passed along to member(s) purchasing) and fall/winter weight clothing. Tentative purchase approved for summer clothing. Once full purchase quote is obtained Kathy, she will e-mail officers final approval.

-Membership as reported by Jane. July ended with a total of 133 family members and 171 single memberships for a total of 304. Of this total, 74 are new members in 2015.

-Publicity as reported by Mona. She will gather information about area cycling organizations and compile a contact list to share with the Fort Wayne Visitor’s Bureau. The reason?  Mona found the information on the FWVB website is limited and she feels many options and opportunities are being missed by visitors. Mona will set up a meeting to allow adequate time for presentation. Mona asked for a list of events and rides for 2016 so she has time to work on the publicity. THE EVENT LISTED BELOW ARE TENTATIVE
