THREE RIVERS VELO SPORT
MEETING MINUTES
December   5, 2019

1. Call to Order
Meeting called to order 7:30 PM by Patrick
Offers present include Patrick Stelte, Jennifer Altherr, Doug Wintin, Dave McComb, Amy Copeland, Scott Tomsits, Hugh Smith, Pamela Fennel, Randy Rozewicz.
Welcome extended to all in attendance including Roiann Smolinski, Andrea Egeland, Phil Snider, Jack Campbell, Shane Powell, Ed Lines,  Johnny Grabowski, Mona Will and Maureen Randall.

3. Officer Reports
Jennifer Altherr, Secretary
November minutes passed earlier in the meeting

Patrick Stelte, President
January 2nd will be the next club meeting which will have officer elections

Hugh Smith, Treasurer
- Expenditures included City Tour SAG supplies and treasurer office supplies; Race team Cyclocross Project and Franke Project balance remain the same as November

Doug Wintin, Touring
- (Patrick) Show n Go - 2 riders last week.   The most riders in November was 10.
- (Scott) Monday Night Zwift League - Scott is trying different formats to determine what the riders prefer

Dave McComb, Racing
- Met with Ray Vazquez about NICF (National Interscholastic Cycling Federation) junior race team   
 - December 2nd, Dave McComb won OVCX race series  (Ohio Valley Cyclocross) for 50+ age group; Chuck South placed 5th for OVCX, and was 3rd overall for 60+ age group series
- All CX equipment is stored in the shed at Franke for the winter

Randy Rozewicz, Off-Road
- Working with the Parks Department on the possibility of the club having a building at Franke within the fenced in BMX area, with the goal of moving items out of the Franke rental shed
- Volunteers have completed work to remove fallen trees from the Franke Park trails
- Christmas Lights will be Thurs Dec 19th, 6PM starting at Lawton Park

Publicity, Pamela Fennell
- Working on publicity for the Chilly Challenge to secure newspaper article and appearance on WANE-TV

Amy Copeland, Membership
- 310 total members; family 136; individual 174; 1 new member
- All new memberships/renewals will carry over to 12/31/20
- BikeReg is active to accept memberships as of the time of the meeting, but we will transition to Red Podium by the end of December
- Benefits of Red Podium are lower cost, better control over the data we collect, and the ability to create a fillable pdf mail-in form

Scott Tomsits, Newsletter
- The December newsletter will be created later in the year to allow time for annual holiday party details to be finalized
- Articles due by Sunday December 8th

Mike Heyes, Webmaster (absent, Report by Patrick Stelte)
- No website changes for November
- Mike will give Patrick website log in information for transition to new webmaster in January

4. Additional Items of Interest
3RVS Annual Party:
- Emails to membership will go out soon about annual party RSVP
- Discussion for annual party planning; The food theme will be Little Italy; Mirro Center doesn't allow outside food to be brought in, or food to leave; salad, bread sticks and desserts will be at the tables pasta will be buffet style and there will be a desert station
- We need 1-2 coat check room volunteers for party
- Desert discussion:  club members in attendance decided on cheesecake and chocolate mousse

Chilly Challenge update (Mona):
- Working on soliciting chili crockpots to meet 12 pot goal
- We will take membership payments at the event
- Other planning such as volunteers and the route creation are on track

New logo design (Patrick)
Linda Ianucilli is working on graphics for online Festival Tour registration page

Sunday, February 9th movie event – library meeting room A big enough for 30 people.  “Breaking Away”.  Request for the club to provide popcorn, hot chocolate, bowls, cups, napkins, possibly M&Ms.   $75 budget approved by members in attendance
